Fullerton JZ335VS Thin Semi Hollow Body Electric Guitar Reviews 3

I bought this guitar for myself. I bought it from The Music Place in Berlin, NJ. I got it and a small 10 watt Aria amp for $250.

The Guitar is a very nice looking Guitar It has a nice tone. Playing and then picking up a brand name 335 style Guitar there really isn't any difference that I could see. Really nice action to it for an off brand name.

Where do I start? The electronics on this Guitar are well below standard. There's a nasty buzz when you plug it in to an amp. The pick guard was a big problem with the buzz. I had to change it. No insulation for the electronics. I also didn't care for whatever factory strings that came on it. Changed to 9's, and raised the action. The finish was pretty good for an after market Guitar of this type. The tuners on this Guitar don't stay in tune very well.

The overall construction is not bad on this model. Nice Sunburst Finish on a Spruce Top, Rosewood Fretboard, Gold Top Hat Knobs. All Nickle Hardware, Two Covered Humbucker Pickups.

For a beginner this is an awesome buy. For a gift to a beginner it is a good place to start. It gives you the best of both worlds. Acoustis/Electric in one Guitar. Intermediate Guitar players... Good to start with, but in need of some good up grades to make it work for you.
